Poa Pratensis

The band was started after the 6th bluegrass festival at Abaliget, Hungary in 2008. Three members (Katrin, Matyi, Peti) of an acoustic band, Szuterén decided to play bluegass and looked for a guitarist for the task, which they luckily found (Gergő). In 2009 a dobro and banjo player (Adrienn) came and this is what Poa Pratensis stands for today. The band plays some tranditional and some non-traditional bluegrass, plus some songs adapted to bluegrass from other musical styles. FYI: Poa Pratensis is the latin name of Kentucky Bluegrass, the plant that the name of the musical style derives from.
